Upcote Barn Summer Wedding

Upcote Barn Summer Wedding
Massive smiles. Big ones All day. That’s the best place to start I think. Charlotte & Mark’s wedding day was a lot of fun. Charlotte prepared for the day at her parents house in Cheltenham where Cheltenham Beauty Bar & Luxe Cheltenham were in charge of hair and make-up.
The weather didn’t look great in the morning at all but as soon as Charlotte arrived at St Andrew’s Church in Sevenhampton, the brollies were removed and she entered the Church to marry Mark. I wouldn’t have said Mark was nervous, at least he didn’t seem it before or during the ceremony, just calm and in the moment. The Church is easily one of my favourites in Gloucestshire; the setting in the countryside is just perfect.
Those smiles I mentioned earlier…they were really on show as Charlotte & Mark left the Church. Sevenhampton is very pretty. A small path surrounded by grasses and flowers which made the perfect frame for their exit. Confetti followed before a few pictures in the paddock opposite. If it’s rained already, it’s really a very good idea to get a few images with just the couple just incase the heavens open again later – so that’s exactly what we did.
Wedding saxophonist at Upcote Barn
The added bonus was that the wedding guests were able to get to The Barn at Upcote in plenty of time to give Charlotte & Mark a good welcome when they arrived. The barn looked amazing…probably due to all the hard work by Cotswold Wedding Co and Jo at Aquaflorist but also added to by the sounds of Saxophonist Vicki! A saxophonist can really add to an afternoon reception, especially when it’s in an enclose courtyard.
When you arrive at Upcote Barn, there’s a nice walk from the car park to the venue with the view of the main barn being the first thing you see. The courtyard itself is small but perfectly formed and perfect for a really cosy drinks reception. The secret garden at Upcote is a real strength. It’s hidden where the guests can’t access it so is perfect for couple photography while the guests are finding their seats for the wedding breakfast. The garden put on a particularly fine display for Charlotte & Mark’s wedding day and the rain meant everything was very vibrant.
Speeches followed after dinner then the dancing – DJ Will Am I knows how to fill a dancefloor! I could tell you about that but I’d rather tell you about the connection that Charlotte & Mark have. They are a team and it was epic to watch them navigate their wedding day as a newly married couple. Of course that team also includes their families who have given them so much support. A big thanks for Charlotte & Mark for choosing me to photograph their Upcote Barn summer wedding.
Upcote Barn Summer Wedding Review
‘We’ve finally managed to sit down and take a look at our wedding photos – they are incredible, we couldn’t be happier to have found you! We love that our photos are so natural and really capture the fun and laughter of the day which is exactly what we wanted. You were so brilliant all day and made everyone feel at ease. Every single person has commented how natural it was and it just felt like a member of the family taking photos. Best photographer ever!’ Charlotte & Mark
